  • PublishedJuly 7, 2025

Sulphur Springs, Texas – The Hopkins County Health Care Foundation still has spots available for free heart calcium scans for qualifying men. Hopkins County men between the ages of 40 and 60 with one or more of the following risk factors may be eligible: high blood pressure, obesity, high cholesterol, diabetes, smoking, or a family history of heart disease.

Call (903) 606-4019 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to schedule. All scans will be conducted locally at CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital – Sulphur Springs.

Saturday, July 12 and Saturday, July 19 are the two dates to choose from for an appointment. If you are unavailable on those dates, you may call to be added to a waitlist in case the clinic dates are extended.

This free men’s clinic is a health initiative funded by the Foundation’s Man Bingo held in April. The Foundation expands healthcare opportunities in Hopkins County by funding free clinics, educational experiences, and physical activities.

The Foundation’s latest initiative, Summer of Healthy Fun, offers group fitness experiences, painting sessions, healthcare talks, and more. Visit hcsummer25.GiveSmart.com to RSVP and watch regularly as more activities are added. Follow the Foundation on Facebook and Instagram to keep up with all offerings.
