Hopkins County Health Care Foundation 2026 Gala Chairs Announced

Hopkins County Health Care Foundation 2026 Gala Chairs Announced
  • PublishedJuly 1, 2025

Sulphur Springs, TX – The Hopkins County Health Care Foundation’s Board of Directors decided to shake things up for the 2026 Gala. The board has created a subcommittee to work with the Foundation staff to plan the next Gala to be held on January 31.

The coming Gala will mark the 20th anniversary of this impactful event. Due to this historic year, the Board of Directors decided to keep the planning in-house.

Pam Black, chair of the Hopkins County Health Care Foundation Board of Directors, shared how the group decided to take on the leadership role. “The board was discussing the upcoming Gala, and all of a sudden, directors began volunteering to help with the planning. There was a real excitement about the board getting to work with the staff to plan the 20th anniversary Gala. So here we are!”

In the early years, proceeds of the Gala funded items for the Hopkins County Hospital District’s Hopkins County Memorial Hospital, such as the Gardens at Memorial, the Children’s Therapy Garden at Memorial, a digital mammography machine, a wheelchair accessible van, and other vital equipment.

In 2016, CHRISTUS Health took over the hospital operations as CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital – Sulphur Springs, while the Hopkins County Hospital District maintained EMS, emergency management, and the real property from the hospital complex. Since that time, proceeds from the Gala have been used to fund projects for both organizations for the benefit of Hopkins County residents.

The traditional Gala committee will still function in coordination with the Board to plan and execute the big event. Those interested in volunteering are encouraged to contact the Foundation office to learn more.

Sponsorship opportunities and ticket information will be made available closer to the event. Follow the Hopkins County Health Care Foundation on Facebook and Instagram for more news on the Foundation and the Gala.

The Hopkins County Health Care Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that improves health and wellness in Hopkins County through free clinics and educational programs.
