Hopkins County Breast Cancer Support Group Plans for Growth

Sulphur Springs, Texas – The Hopkins County Breast Cancer Support Group sponsored by the Hopkins County Health Care Foundation held its June meeting on the 9th. Participants dedicated the evening to outlining ways to prepare the organization for growth.

Attendees brainstormed new activities and shared topics they want to learn more about in future meetings. The group also took time to share prayer requests and write cards for members who could not attend.

The support group welcomes anyone who has or has had breast cancer or a gynecologic cancer to join the next meeting July 14. It will be held at 5:30 p.m. at 113 Airport Rd. Friends or loved ones are free to come along as support.

The Hopkins County Breast Cancer Support Group is part of the Foundation’s In My Closet offerings. In My Closet provides free wigs, mastectomy bras, prosthetics, hats, scarves, and wig care for anyone in Hopkins County who has had breast cancer.

The Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) expanding healthcare opportunities in Hopkins County by offering programs and clinics as well as funding equipment for both the Hopkins County Hospital District and local hospital.
