Funeral service for Joyce Cupp, age 77, of Saltillo, Texas will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Interment will follow at New Pickton Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Ms. Cupp passed away at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs on Saturday, May 31, 2025.

 

Beverly Joyce (Campbell) Cupp was born on July 23, 1947, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Marion and Evelyn (Gean) Campbell. She married Arvry Dillard Cupp on September 17, 1994, in Fort Worth, Texas. She was employed as a daycare and preschool teacher for several years and as a church secretary for 17 years. She was a member of Weaver Baptist Church in Saltillo, Texas.

 

Her family will dearly miss Joyce. She is survived by two daughters, Denise Maly (Tommy) and Andrea Joslin (Bobby), and one son, Eddie Schumpert (Gayle). It was her honor and joy to be a grandmother to 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, as well as several great-great-grandchildren. Joyce is also survived by one brother, Dennis Campbell (Kathy), of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and son-in-law, Jim Boyte.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arvry (A.D.) Cupp, her parents, Marion and Evelyn Campbell, daughter, Kathy Boyte, son, Jeffrey Cupp, granddaughter Aimee Dawn Scott, and great-grandsons Aiden Joshua Rincon and Ryder Scott. She was also preceded in death by her first love and father of her children, Don Houghton Schumpert.

 

Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
