David Wyly, age 63, of Sulphur Springs, Texas, passed away at Christus Mother Frances Hospital of Sulphur Springs, Texas, on Thursday, May 22, 2025. No services are planned at this time.

 

David Wyly was born on September 18, 1961, at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, to Alton Maurice and Eva Nell (Ray) Wyly. He worked for KFC for over 20 years and was known for his wit and humor. He loved spending time with his pets, Sugar and Snickers, and will be remembered as a generous and kind soul who would help anybody in need. He was a member of the Cross Spur Cowboy Church.

 

Mr. Wyly is survived by his daughters, Lindsay Wyly and Brittany Wyly of Sulphur Springs, Texas; son, Justin Wyly of Sulphur Springs, Texas; brother, James Wyly and wife Terry, of Sulphur Springs; and mother-in-law, Mary Stonaker of Sulphur Springs, Texas.

 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Tonya Wyly; his parents, Alton and Eva Wyly; and brother, Ricky Lee Wyly.

 

Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
