Obituary for Madine Cash
Funeral Service for Madine Cash, age 93 of Sulphur Springs, Texas will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Morning Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Harold Nash officiating. Cameron Horton, Mario Thornton, Adarious Gordan, Joshua Cash, Jerome Thornton, and Alvin Jr. Cash will be serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Lawrence Miles, Byron Williams, Robert Franklin, and Pete Nash. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow the services at East Caney Cemetery. Madine passed away on May 17, 2025, in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
Madine was born on August 14, 1931, in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Alvin and Mattie Frnklin. She was a lifelong and oldest member of Morning Chapel Baptist Church. Madine was united in marriage to the love of her life, Elliott Gene Cash, to this union, four sons and three daughters were born. Madine enjoyed the friendship of her coworkers at Winzen Film until she retired. Then she went back to work at Ravens until the age of 86. Madine was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, sister, Big MaMa and friend.
Her loving memories will be cherished by her surviving family.sons, Lawrence Cash (Lois), Johnny Cash of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Alvin Cash (Sally) of San Diego; three daughters, Wanda Thornton of Dallas, Texas, Sharon Pryor, Demetra Clayton (Dennis) of Sulphur Springs, Texas; one brother, Eugene Franklin and one sister, Margie Thomas of Sulphur Springs, Texas; 21 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren.
Madine was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin, and Mattie Franklin; husband, Elliott Gene Cash; son, Calvin Cash; four brothers, Haskell Franklin, John Franklin, Alvin Jr. Franklin, Noah Franklin, and sister, Laura Franklin.
