Obituary for Clara Dalton

Graveside service for Clara Mae Dalton, age 73, of Sulphur Springs, Texas will be

held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 2025 at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Ms. Dalton passed away at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs on

Tuesday, May 6, 2025.

Clara Mae Dalton was born on January 17, 1952 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Albert

Wayne Dalton and Delia Juanita (McCurdy) Dalton. Clara was a waitress and

helped at the family nursery & gardening business for many years. She was very

creative and loved ceramics and painting. Clara was caring and had shared a love for

all animals, especially dogs.

Clara is survived by her son, David Townsend, his children, David Eric Townsend

and son, Cooper, Kayle Townsend, and Hadenn Townsend and wife Brooklynn;

daughter, Teresa Clem, her children Heather Clem and Austin Easley and son,

Myles; son, Gary Townsend and wife Melanie and their children, Kaylab & Amanda

Glasco, Bret Glasco, Jessyka Glasco, and Anthony Bricker; special friend, Jeff

Robinson; and brothers, Kenneth Dalton and wife Vivian and Leslie Dalton and

wife Patricia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Juanita Dalton; brother, Jerry

Dalton; and granddaughter, Chelsea Townsend.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you consider a donation to the Hearts of Life

Animal Rescue at P.O. BOX 531, Sulphur Springs, TX 75483
