The Hopkins County Health Care Foundation’s Man Bingo – a Win for Local Healthcare

Sulphur Springs, Texas – The Hopkins County Health Care Foundation’s Man Bingo (Mingo) was a big success, raising a net income of approximately $20.000. 241 bingo players gathered on April 10 for the chance to win about $18,000 worth of prizes.
Players enjoyed Slaughter’s BBQ sandwiches, perfectly blended old fashioneds, and a healthy dose of competition. The room was abuzz with tables cheering for their friends and neighbors, as well as playfully booing when they weren’t the ones to score a bingo.
John Campbell, Vice President of Lending at Alliance Bank, remarked that the Foundation “really hit a home run with this event.”
Proceeds from Mingo fund a free clinic providing heart calcium scans for qualifying Hopkins County men. Once a clinic date is set, sign up instructions will be released on the Foundation’s Facebook and Instagram (@hchealthcarefoundation) as well as local media.
Photos from the event are also being shared on the Foundation’s social media. In the meantime, the Foundation thanks all sponsors, donors, and players for their support of Mingo. None of this would be possible without you!
The Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that has served Hopkins County for 28 years. A board of directors of Hopkins County citizens governs it.
