  • PublishedApril 9, 2025

Sulphur Springs, Texas – The next meeting of the Hopkins County Breast Cancer Support Group, sponsored by the Hopkins County Health Care Foundation, will be held Monday, April 14 in the Medical Plaza Conference Room, 113 Airport Rd. The conference room is the first door on the left in the standalone building on the southeast corner of CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital – Sulphur Springs campus. Meetings are routinely at 5:30 p.m.

Guest speaker, Father Justin Wylie, will lead a discussion about survivor’s guilt – a topic several of our members have mentioned in past meetings. Anyone who has had breast cancer or a gynecological cancer is welcome to attend. Attendees may bring a friend or loved one as companionship and support.

Meetings include light refreshments, devotionals, testimonies, discussions, giveaways, and activities such as writing cards for homebound patients or people who have been newly diagnosed. Since this meeting is the week of Easter, there will be special treats in store.

The Breast Cancer Support Group is part of the Foundation’s In My Closet offerings. In My Closet offers free items for women who have undergone breast cancer treatment. Wigs, hats, scarves, prosthetics, bras, and wig supplies are among the items available.

To schedule an appointment to visit In My Closet, talk to us at the Foundation by calling 903-438-4799 or emailing hchc.foundation@CHRISTUShealth.org.

The offerings of the Hopkins County Health Care Foundation are made possible by donations. If you want to support these programs, the Foundation accepts monthly pledges and one-time donations alike. Contact the Foundation at the above phone number or by email. The Foundation’s mailing address is PO Box 1011, Sulphur Springs, TX 75483.

The Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that has served Hopkins County for 28 years. A board of directors of Hopkins County citizens governs it.
