Funeral service for Earnestine Clyde Ford, age 76 of Sulphur Springs, Texas will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home in Sulphur Springs with Rev. Rudy Ellis and Rev. Chris Spivey officiating. Interment will follow at Cherry Grove Cemetery with Reggie Thomas, Mario Thomas, Andreas Rogers, and Richard Givens serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will include Everette Coleman, Michael Kendricks, Mike Smith, Johnny Morris, and Ronald Garner. No formal visitation will be held. Ms. Ford passed away at her home on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.

 

Earnestine Clyde Ford was born on August 15, 1948, the daughter of Arva and Evalena (Lewis) Clyde. Earnestine was a retired Machine Operator for the Ocean Spray Company for 35 years and was of the Baptist faith. She loved cooking and having gatherings for family and friends. All who came were always welcome. Her hobbies were playing Bingo and going to the casino. She was a sounding board for young people who needed advice and helped anyone in need.

 

Earnestine leaves to mourn her passing: one daughter, Shirrel Stephens-Calloway (Marvin) of Tyler, Texas; two sons, Maurice Ford, Jr. (Delorce) of Commerce, Texas and Brian L. Ford of Sulphur Springs, Texas; one sister, Reva Lewis of Sulphur Springs, Texas; and one God daughter, Keitha Wilson (Christopher) of Balch Springs, Texas. She also leaves a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends, all of whom she loved dearly.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arva and Evalena Clyde and brother, Durial Clyde.

 

Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
