Memorial service will be held at a later date for Carla Adams, age 62, of Sulphur Springs, Texas. Ms. Adams passed away at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. Carla Lynn Adams was born on April 25, 1962 in Commerce, Texas to Henry and Viola (Curtis) Richardson. She was married to Reggie Blevins until his passing. Carla worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), was a waitress and a homemaker.
Carla is survived by her son, Jason Shaw of Sulphur Springs, Texas; daughter, Sharon Shumaker (Aaron) of Kingston, Texas; and son, Derrell Morris (Rhonda) of Sulphur Springs, Texas; step-children, Dana Peeples, Stacey Adams, Charles Gilbreath, and John Morris; grandchildren, Tessa Morris, Christian Morris, Anthony Morris, Samuel Shaw, Lincoln Shaw, Jagger Humphries, Jace Griggs, and Triston Jones; brothers, Norman Richardson of Commerce, Texas and Junior Richardson; and sister-in-law, Sandy Blevins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Viola Curtis; husband, Reggie Blevins; and brothers, Arnold Richardson and Tom Richardson. Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
