Loyd Allen Lennon, age 50, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs, Texas.

Loyd was born on November 20, 1974, in Sulphur Springs, TX to Rex Lee Lennon and Deborah Jean Shelton. On August 19, 2017, he married the love of his life, Lori Alice Buchanan.

He is survived by his wife, Lori, of Sulphur Springs, his daughter, Mariah Burns and husband Colton and his two precious granddaughters, Evalynn (Pearl) and Adalynn (Peanut) of Miller Grove, TX as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Rex Lennon, his maternal and paternal grandparents and aunts and uncles.

Loyd graduated from Miller Grove High School in 1993. For the last 20 years he has served the City of Richardson’s Fleet Services as a Master Technician. He also owned his own auction company, All in Auctions, which brought him lots of joy. He was a self-professed Jack of all Trades, Master of None. He loved fishing and while he rarely found time to go, he enjoyed repairing fishing equipment so that it would be ready when he got the chance. His greatest joy was playing the role of Pappy to Pearl and Peanut and Daddy to his fur-baby, Harry.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at County Line Baptist Church in Miller Grove, TX at 1:30 PM on Sunday, March 30, 2025, with the funeral service held immediately after with Bro. Mack McClain officiating. Joining Bro. McClain during services will be Bro. Zachary Barton, Bro. Robert Burns and Father-in-law Ronnie Buchanan. Interment will be made at Pippin & Hill Cemetery in Miller Grove, TX.

Pallbearers are Chris Black, Chris Clement, Dakota Wright, Hunter Wright, Jake Couch, Justin Elliott, Zack Barton, Ryan Lively, Ken Wright, Jeff Landers and Scott Sullivan.

Honorary Pallbearers are Colton Burns, David Steger, Branden Lennon, Eli Black, and Lucas Black
