Mingo: More Than a Bingo Game

Mingo: More Than a Bingo Game
  • PublishedMarch 28, 2025

Sulphur Springs, TX – The Hopkins County Health Care Foundation is offering its second Mingo (man bingo) on April 10. If you played last year, you know it was a lot of fun for the guys and gals in the room.

To the Foundation, Mingo is more than a bingo game. It is good for the players’ mental health. It provides a social connection with the other players at the table and an opportunity for camaraderie. These help to minimize any feelings of isolation or loneliness.

The night promotes stress release due to the fun, relaxing atmosphere. It gives a sense of belonging as the table of players cheer each other on as a team does. Enjoying a night with others promotes positive self-esteem as well.

Sponsorships, underwriting opportunities, and tables are all on sale for this healthy and fun night. Each player will receive a bingo packet for the 10 regular games, a door prize entry, a drink ticket, a Slaughter’s BBQ sandwich with chips, and water.

Visit Mingo2025.GiveSmart.com to secure your spot or spots for the night.

The event is healthy for the players and will result in a free health clinic for Hopkins County men. Mingo will fund free heart calcium tests for 50 Hopkins County men.
