Graveside Inurnment for James “Pops” Wilfred, age 62, of Como, Texas will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, March 21, 2025 at Arbala Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 21, 2025 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Honorary pallbearers will include, James Ray Humphry, Tommy “Trigger” Walker, Kelly Pope, Jackie Creed, Diane Busby, Tanner Gilbreath, Brandon “Stetson” Walker, and Anthony Beam. Mr. Wilfred passed away at his home in Como on Sunday, March 16, 2025.

 

James Anthony Wilfred was born on November 21, 1962 in Dallas, Texas to Sanford and Judy (Kirby) Gammill. James was a construction foreman, barterer, and great friend to all. He was also the Seargent at Arms of the Loco Diablos MC of Tyler, Texas and went by “Gus”.

 

James is survived by his daughter, Charity Wilfred of Lubbock, Texas; sons, James Wilfred of Winnsboro, Texas and Tanner Gilbreth of Sulphur Springs, Texas; grandchildren, Braelyn Wilfred, Mattison Cameron, Moises Rodriguez; sister, Shannon Wallace (Joe) of Sulphur Springs, Texas; nephew, Jayden Wallace (Lauren) of Sulphur Springs, Texas; niece, Lyndie Wallace of Sulphur Springs, Texas; great-nephew, Jace Wallace; and four-legged companion, Trixie.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sanford and Judy Gammill; and very special friend, Holly Boyd.

 

Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
