Man Bingo Project Announced

Man Bingo Project Announced
  • PublishedMarch 13, 2025

Sulphur Springs, Texas — The Hopkins County Health Care Foundation Board of Directors has chosen how the proceeds of Man Bingo (Mingo) will be used to benefit Hopkins County men. The April 10 event will fund free heart calcium scans for Hopkins County men between the ages of 40-65 with qualifying risk factors such as diabetes, obesity, high-cholesterol, high blood pressure, smoking, or a family history of heart disease.

Heart calcium scans are an important preventative that determine the risk of heart disease and heart attacks by measuring calcium build up in arteries that could potentially affect blood flow to the heart. The scan itself is short and sweet — taking just about 15 minutes, no fasting or pre-op required. These scans are not covered by insurance, so the free clinic will be available to both uninsured and insured Hopkins County men.

Follow the Foundation on social media and watch local media to stay up to date with all activities. Sign up’s for the men’s clinic will be announced at a later date.
