Obituary for Verna Yarbrough
Graveside service for Verna Yarbrough, age 82, of Archer City, Texas will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2025 at Gafford Chapel Cemetery with Ed Lance officiating.
Beloved mother, Verna Evelyn Yarbrough, born on September 15, 1942, left this world to be with her Lord and Savior on February 7, 2025. She was born to Sewell and Verna Thurlow in Limerick, Maine, and was sister to 12 brothers and sisters. She married Tan Yarbrough on April 12, 1969 in Albuquerque, NM and moved to Sulphur Springs, TX in 1981.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Sewell and Verna Thurlow; and sisters, Carol and Gloria and her husband.
Verna is survived by her four children, Rebecca Stone of Archer City, TX, Brenda Stone of Archer City, TX, James Yarbrough and spouse Kim of Winston Salem, NC, and Barbara Norton and spouse Jason of Round Rock, TX; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
