Kenneth Deaton, age 79 of Sulphur Springs, passed away Thursday afternoon, December 5, 2024, at his home. Kenneth was born March 30, 1945, in Sulphur Bluff, TX to Vaughn Edgbert Deaton and Nina Faye (Garner) Deaton. Kenneth joined the National Guard after graduating high school. He married Brenda McFadden in Sulphur Springs on July 5, 1963. Kenneth was a dairy farmer for over thirty years. He also drove a truck and most recently, worked at Alliance Bank. He was a member of Greenpond Baptist Church.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Brenda Deaton; daughters, Leslie Emerine and husband James, Tansy Potts and husband Jimmy; son, Darin Deaton and wife Kelly, all of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Casey Emerine (Emily), Taylor Emerine, Brady Potts (Casey), Tanner Potts (Shayelynn), Hannah Stewart (Zach), Madison Deaton, Morgan Deaton, Carson Deaton; great-grandchildren, Addie Emerine, Gentry Emerine, Kayden Emerine, Kambry Emerine, Laeton Potts, Braxton Stewart; and sister, Sarah Cook and husband Jerry, of Como.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Maxie Deaton; sisters, Dorothy Chester and Cindy Hill; and infant son, Cary Deaton.

Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
