Cecile Stepp Barnes was born on November 4, 1946 to Cecil and Patricia (Holland) Stepp. She married her high school sweetheart Larry Barnes in Azle, Texas on June 6, 1965. Cecile was a cheerleader at Azle high school and also played basketball. Larry was the football quarterback and after catching her quarterback, they were happily married for almost 60 years. Cecile raised her children before dappling in Real Estate. She has been a born again Christian since she was 12 years old and for her entire life has always been very active in all the churches that she has been a member of. Cecile had six close friends in high school that have remained close friends all these years. They even visited her last week. She enjoyed the outdoors and was a true “country” girl who enjoyed fishing, gardening, and maintaining beautiful flower beds. Cecile loved animals and always had a lapdog through the years. She was very proud of and loved her family dearly.

Cecile is survived by her husband, Larry Barnes; children, Bryan Barnes (Kimberlee) of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Lynn Gibson (Brad) of Sulphur Springs, Texas, and Lee Brandvold (Tom) of Georgetown, Texas; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Ronnie Stepp (Anne) of Weatherford, Texas and Gary Stepp of Weatherford, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews; and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Patricia Stepp; twin infant brother, Cecil Stepp; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Oliver and Ina Barnes.
