Gala 2024 Receives Additional Donation

Gala 2024 Receives Additional Donation
  • PublishedNovember 5, 2024

Sulphur Springs, Texas –

The Hopkins County Health Care Foundation’s Gala 2024 was an event to remember as the community raised money to expand local healthcare options. Gala Chairs Kim and John Sellers selected the theme An Evening in Tuscany.

John, as part of his work at City National Bank, oversees the travel program. He coordinated a package for the Gala 2024 live auction that included a Danube and Budapest cruise donated by Mayflower Cruises & Tours and flights from DFW donated by City National Bank. This package received a lot of attention and raised a lot of money to go toward the surgical services wing expansion at CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital – Sulphur Springs.

Not only did Mayflower donate a cruise to An Evening in Tuscany’s live auction but also offered to donate $100 per person for those who signed up for the cruise through City National Bank’s travel program. The result was $3,200!

Kim and John Sellers recently delivered the check to the Hopkins County Health Care Foundation. As Kim expressed, “It is a gift that keeps on giving.” That sentiment applies to both the Mayflower donation and the expanded surgical services wing.

The Foundation would like to express its appreciation to Mayflower Cruises & Tours, City National Bank, and Kim and Johns Sellers as well as to all the donors, sponsors, and attendees.

The Foundation is an IRS-designated 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization. For additional information, please contact the Hopkins County Health Care Foundation at 903-438-4799 or kayla.price@christushealth.org.
