A family led Celebration of Life for Jerry Dalton, age 74, of Sulphur Springs, Texas will be held at a later date. Mr. Dalton passed away at his home on Monday, October 28, 2024.

 

Jerry Wayne Dalton was born on October 20, 1950 in Big Springs, Texas to Albert Wayne and Dellia Juanita (McCurdy) Dalton. Jerry was a jailer for Hopkins County working inmates at the Civic Center. He loved fishing and feeding his fish. Jerry enjoyed working with his tractor, playing video games, and spending time with family and friends. He would often do day trips to other areas looking at scenery. Jerry never met a stranger and was a big joker with his friends. He will be missed by all that knew him.

 

Jerry is survived by his sons, Phillip Dalton (Karen) of Sulphur Springs, Texas and Adam Dalton (Carrie) of Navarre, Florida; grandchildren, Kaine Dalton, Alli Dalton, and Brittney Pennington; brothers, Leslie Dalton (Pat) of Sulphur Springs, Texas and Kenneth Dalton (Vivian) of Yantis, Texas; sister, Clara Dalton of Sulphur Springs, Texas; and best friend, Mark Daughtery of Sulphur Springs, Texas.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Dellia Dalton; and son, Jeremy Dalton.

 

Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
