Obituary for Donald Dodd
Memorial service for Donald Dodd, age 81, of Sulphur Springs, Texas will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mr. Dodd passed away at his home on Sunday, October 20, 2024.
Donald Lee Dodd was born on October 12, 1943 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Elton and Nina (Herod) Dodd. He married Pamela Burns in Ardmore, Oklahoma on September 10, 1966. Donald drove an ice cream truck for many years for Johnson’s Ice Cream. After retiring he worked in the lawn care business. Donald was a member of the Hopkins County Coon Hunters Association. He dearly loved coon hunting. He was also a member of the Professional Kennel Club and the First Church Sulphur Springs.
Donald is survived by his wife, Pam Dodd of Sulphur Springs; son, Donald Brian Dodd (fiancé Mindy Mitchell) of Brashear, Texas; daughter, Shelley Denise Keller (Nathaniel) of Sulphur Springs, Texas; son, Landon Keith Dodd (Cindy) of Sulphur Springs, Texas; fourteen grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; sister, Bonnie Rubarts of McKinney, Texas; brothers, Richard Dodd and Glenn Dodd both of Sulphur Springs, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elton and Nina Dodd; sister, Barbara Hoffman; and brothers, Cecil Dodd, Rayford Dodd, and Joe Dan Dodd.
