Obituary for Catherine Wadkins
1937-2024
Catherine Elizabeth Wadkins, 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 13, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Wadkins, in 2018; her sister, Mary Horton, and her brothers, Larry, Dee, and David Magness. Catherine is survived by her son, Charles Lewis; her grandchildren, Chris Lewis and Jessica Schroder; her great-grandson; and her sister, Barbara Wilson.
Catherine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a fierce competitor in all games, loved to travel, and was a proud member of the Red Hat Society. Above all, she will be remembered for her quirky nature, friendly spirit, and for never having met a stranger.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, October 26, at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Quitman, TX, followed by a reception in the Fellowship Hall.
