Allen Ray Stover (89), passed peacefully in his sleep on October 17, 2024. Allen “Al” was born on September 5, 1935 in Charleston, West Virginia to his parents Troy and Martha Stover.

Al was well-known to his community as a loyal friend and businessman who was always happy to extend his helping, loving hand. Al was committed to his passions as a carpenter, horseman, truck driver, craftsman, just to name a few. His resourcefulness and creativity shined through his craft and provided beauty to the world.

Al was cherished by his family by enriching their lives with character, humor, irrevocable love, and strong-willed nature that would never faulter. As the patriarch of the family, his kindness and strength knew no bounds. It was never a doubt that he was a man of his word and would provide aid to his family in their times of need when it seemed a solution wasn’t possible.

The story of his life continues through his surviving brother, Jimmy; sisters Barb and Bonnie, sons, Danny Ray Stover, Donald Allen Stover and wife Anita Joy, as well as his daughter, Darlena June Martinez; grandchildren, Michael Allen Stover, Danielle Marie Stover, Joshua Allen Stover, Colleen Rae Stover, Erica Lee Martinez, Mattison Alexandra Martinez; great-grandchildren, Josie Rae Gaby, Elizabeth Penelope Stover, Oliver Gonzalez, Nicholas Brien Allen Stover, Christopher Allen Lee Stover, Matthew Casey James Stover, Ayden Joshua Edward Cardwell, Christian Ryan Longoria Jr, and Liliana Lee Longoria.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Martha Stover; brothers, Carl, Johnny, Rome, Ronnie, and Denny; and sisters, Becky and Betty.

Rest in peace, dear Al. Your love and light will continue to shine brightly through all those whose lives you have touched.
