Obituary for Nancy Burkham
Graveside service for Nancy Burkham, age 84, of Dike, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 11, 2024 at Connor Cemetery. Mrs. Burkham passed away at her home on Sunday, October 6, 2024.
Nancy Burkham was born on January 24, 1940 in Maywood, California to Ray and Edith (Foster) Gelnett. She eloped with the love of her life, Zane Burkham, and was married in Ardmore, Oklahoma on February 16, 1957. Nancy was a homemaker and Office Manager for Burkham Commercial, Inc., the commercial construction company that she and Zane owned. She and Zane were also members of the Texas Longhorn Breeders Association of America.
Nancy is survived by her sons, Doug Burkham (Debbie) of Red Oak, Texas and Paul Burkham (Kim) of Bridgeport, Texas; brother-in-law, Michael Burkham of Colleyville, Texas; grandchildren, Tiffany Burkham, Jerrod Burkham, Cody Burkham, Alyssa Brady, Katelyn Brady, Ryan Brady, Lindsey Burkham, and Kolton Sparks; seven great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren .
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray Gelnett and Edith Mark; husband, Zane Burkham; son, Joel Burkham; brothers, Ronald Gelnett and Robert Gelnett; and aunt, Donna Schmitz.
