Obituary for Nellie Dodd
Funeral service for Nellie Dodd, age 88, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Murray-Orwosky Chapel with Michael Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Rockdale Cemetery with Anthony Stone, Ruston Bult, Casen Bolt, Mac McCoy, J.D. McCoy, and Chad Bult serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jaden Gafford, Jaxon Gafford, and Judah McCoy. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mrs. Nellie Dodd passed away at her residence on Tuesday, September 24, 2024.
Nellie Dodd was born on September 9, 1936 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Earl and Flora Luttrell.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary McCoy and Alice Bozeman; grandchildren, Laurie Bult (Chad), J.D. McCoy (Jennifer), Angel Robinson (Chris), and Chelsea Gafford. She was Great-Grandmother to thirteen and Great-Great-Grandmother to five.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Flora Luttrell; her loving husband, Homer Dodd Jr.; and eleven brothers and sisters.
