Robert Donald “Bob” Miller, aged 78, passed away on September 12, 2024, at Medical City in Plano, Texas after a brief illness. Born on February 18, 1946, in Pigeon, Michigan, he was a cherished member of his community and a beloved figure within his extensive family. Robert dedicated six years of his life to the US Army from 1968 to 1974, serving with distinction and forming lifelong bonds with fellow servicemen. A member of the Combat Tracker Unit he courageously served his country. After his honorable discharge, he embarked on a successful career as a diesel mechanic and commercial driver, fields in which he was highly respected for his expertise and work ethic. Apart from his professional life, Robert was deeply religious, regularly viewing services with the late Charles Stanley and Joel Osteen. His Lutheran faith was a cornerstone of his existence, guiding him through life’s challenges and joys. Robert was a loving husband to Marion Jan (Tinney) Miller for 31 years and a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his sister Velma Fritz; devoted wife Jan and their fur children- Boots and Mach; his children Tammy (Brian) Puvalowski, Corinna (Michael) Adams, Robert (Jill) Miller, Jr., David (Melissa) Minick, LeJana Wright, Dennis (Monica) Scarborough, and Dalton (Jackie) Eargle. The legacy of his love and wisdom will live on through his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Clifford Miller and Caroline Lydia (Schmidt) Miller, his son Jeremy Lee Miller, grandson Steven Bowen, and many beloved aunts and uncles. Robert had a passion for life, loving nothing more than spending time with his family, his dogs, and engaging in his favorite hobbies. He was an avid fan of wrestling, police/military programs, and westerns. Fishing and traveling were also pursuits that brought him great joy and peace. He enjoyed spending time with his

neighbors Jeremy and Bree and valued their friendship. The family will receive friends at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home, located at 876 Wildcat Way, Sulphur Springs, Texas, during visitation hours from 5 PM to 7 PM on Monday, September 16, 2024. A funeral service will be held at the same location on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at 10 AM. Robert will be laid to rest at Cypress Cemetery next to his mother and mother-in-law following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Vietnam War Veterans Combat Trackers, a cause close to Robert’s heart. This gesture will honor his memory and his service to the country.
