Obituary for David Long
Graveside service for David Long, age 55, of Sulphur Springs, Texas will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Restlawn Memorial Park with Robert Brinkman, Bobby Woodard, Kevin Lowe, Justin Burford, and Danny Joe Woodard serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 9:00-10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home in Sulphur Springs. Mr. Long passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 surrounded by friends and family.
David Paul Long was born on December 12, 1968 in Odessa, Texas to F.M. and Ethelene (Tarver) Long. David obtained a bachelor’s degree in Drafting & Design from Northwestern Louisiana Technical College and worked as a Field Technician for Davey Tree. He enjoyed learning and education and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
David is survived by his sister, Grace Brinkman (Robert) of Minden, Louisiana; nieces, Heather Brinkman (Bobby Woodard) of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Brittney Burford (Justin) of Memphis, Tennessee, Dililah Brinkman of Shreveport, Louisiana; great-nieces and nephews, Rebel Harris, Pistol Thomas, Scarlet Pauley, Waylon Burford, and Gauge Burford.
He was preceded in death by his parents, F.M. and Ethelene Long.
Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
