Obituary for Carla E. Winnett
Graveside service for Carla E. Winnett, age 92, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 9, 2024 at Restlawn Memorial Park with Buddy Wiggins officiating. Visitation will be held from 8:30-9:30 a.m. on Friday, August 9, 2024 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Ms. Winnett passed away at Hopkins Court in Sulphur Springs, Texas on Saturday, August 3, 2024.
Evaline Carla Winnett was born on August 25, 1931 in Fort Worth, Texas to Carl W. and Willie Bell (Alcorn) Hunter. She married Wilburn Winnett in Dallas, Texas on November 13, 1979. Carla was a hairdresser and enjoyed getting to know her customers over the years. After retiring, she became a homemaker and she spent her summers with her grandchildren and creating art. She loved watching figure skating, game shows and spending time reading her Bible.
Carla is survived by her daughters, Linda Kay Bryant of Maybank, Texas; Jerry Lynn Moore of Texas; grandchildren, Felicia Armstrong and Joshua Armstrong of Arizona; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Willie Bell Hunter; husband, Wilburn Winnett; and daughter, Deborah Kaye Hebert.
