Steven Frank Worsham was born on May 9, 1952 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Tom Frank and Patsy Pate Worsham. He graduated from Sulphur Springs High School in 1970 and attended Southern Methodist University graduating with a business degree in 1974.

Steve started his career working for a commercial real estate company in Dallas, Texas. After a few years he joined his father and grandfather in the oil & gas business as a landman. He worked primarily in East Texas and found his lakefront home in Jacksonville in 1978, where he lived until his death on July 13, 2024.

Steve was known for his kindness and generosity, particularly to those less fortunate than himself. He also had a particularly strong affection for the many dogs he rescued or owned during his lifetime. He was the life of the party and will be missed by his many friends and family.

Steven is survived by his daughter, Loree Worsham, from Jacksonville, his brother, Thomas Worsham (and wife Le Anne), from Durham, NC, his niece, Rhonda Wilson, from Jacksonville, his nephews Brad and Todd Worsham, from the Raleigh/Durham, NC area, and several cousins living in various areas of Texas and other parts of the country.
