This Saturday, June 29, the Annual Independence Day Concert and Fireworks will be held in Celebration Plaza, downtown Sulphur Springs. The Northeast Texas Symphony League presents the concert, which begins at 8:00 p.m. This FREE event is open to the public and concludes with a grand fireworks finale.

This year marks the thirty-second anniversary of this beloved Independence Day celebration. Every year at dusk on the Saturday before July 4th, the community gathers with lawn chairs in Celebration Plaza for a traditional, old-fashioned celebration.

Two huge flags will hang on the face of Alliance Bank’s building, right above the stage. Live music kicks off at 6 p.m. and continues until the fireworks show. The fireworks will light up the sky, perfectly visible behind the courthouse.

The celebration not only honors our nation but also highlights the Sulphur Springs community. Hundreds of people gather to eat, shop locally, and enjoy the festivities. Families and friends set up blankets and lawn chairs, coming together to celebrate American culture and freedom.
