Obituary for Retta Murphy
Memorial service for Retta Murphy, age 70, of Yantis, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with CJ Duffey officiating. Mrs. Murphy passed away at her home in Yantis on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 after a prolonged bout with cancer.
Retta Ann Murphy was born on September 23, 1953 in Hopkins County, Texas to Billy Jack and Lauretta (Ashby) Martin. She married Dwayne Murphy in Las Vegas, Nevada on August 28, 2000.
Retta is survived by her husband, Dwayne Murphy; daughters, Micah Fouse and husband Josh, Karla Payne and husband Matt; six grandchildren, Cody Dodd, Caden Dodd, Daci Darling, Kolbie Fouse, Lane Fouse, Anndi Jones; and aunt, Brenda Ashby.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Billy Jack and Lauretta Ashby; and daughter, Melissa McVay.
