HMEC is proud to announce Elizabeth Hasten, PA will be joining the practice full time!
Elizabeth Herriage Hasten was raised in Honey Grove, TX. After graduating from Honey Grove High School, she obtained a Bachelor’s of Science and a Master’s of Science in Biological Sciences from Texas A&M University at Commerce. Upon graduation, she began her career in education, as an instructor at Paris Junior College, teaching Anatomy and Physiology at both the Paris and Sulphur Springs campuses. She then decided to pursue a career in Medicine and was accepted to the Physician Assistant program at The University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. She graduated from the program in 2009, obtaining her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies and her National Certification, as well as her Texas license to practice.
She began her career in medicine as a Certified Physician Assistant working in Emergency Medicine. She worked in the Emergency Department at Methodist Dallas and Methodist Charlton. She has also worked at Hunt Regional and Presbyterian Rockwall in the Emergency Department. In 2016, she began working in Urgent Care at Terrell Urgent Care.
Elizabeth resides in Lone Oak with her husband Matt and their two children. Elizabeth and Matt are parents to their son Luke, a 9th grader and Lauren, a 6th grader at Lone Oak ISD.
She loves spending time with her family. She enjoys gardening and cooking and is an avid reader.
