CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic Welcomes Dr. Nivas Govindarajan to Sulphur Springs
(Sulphur Springs, Texas) – CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic, part of the well-established CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Health System, is proud to announce the addition of Dr. Nivas Govindarajan to the highly trained family medicine team in Sulphur Springs.
A New Jersey native, Govindarajan completed both his undergraduate and medical degrees at Drexel University in Philadelphia.
“I took an interest in medicine at a very young age. My mom was an oncology nurse, so I heard a lot of stories from her about all the patients she treated and how she was helping people,” Govindarajan said. “I was inspired by her, so that really pushed me to pursue medicine.”
He joins CHRISTUS after completing his residency at Medical City Arlington, where he was named the 2020-21 “Resident of the Year.”
He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and specializes in preventative care and chronic illnesses.
“My philosophy is to focus on evidence-based medicine, discussing options with patients and providing patients with all the education they need to make informed decisions,” Govindarajan said. “I want to respect patient autonomy and be there so we can work together to improve patient quality of life.”
Govindarajan is seeing patients at CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic, located at 105 Medical Plaza in Sulphur Springs.
