A graveside service for Charlie Rogers, age 69, of Sulphur Springs, Texas, will be held at Richland Cemetery on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. with Brother L.D. Baxley officiating. Visitation will be Friday, October 13, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Tapp Funeral Home. Rogers passed away on Monday October 9, 2023, in his home.

Rogers was born to Dewey and Dorothy (Deuberry) Rogers on March 30, 1954, in Sulphur Springs, Texas. After attending high school, he went on to work as a truck driver for several years. In more recent years he worked for Sansom Truck Parts. In his free time, he enjoyed working on his farm, where he raised cattle, worked on his personal garden, or simply enjoyed being outdoors.

Charlie is survived by his sons, Michael Rogers of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Christopher Rogers and wife, Lauren of Denton County, Texas; sisters, Barbara Rogers of Pittsburg, Texas, Debbie Miller and husband, Ronnie of Shirley, Texas; several nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carol Sue Quinn; grandson, Colton Rogers. Arrangements are under the direction of Tapp Funeral Home.
