Funeral service for Edward Neal Huffstutler, age 89 of Sulphur Springs, Texas will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Gary Jordan and Bob Keller officiating. Interment will follow at Conner Cemetery with Ronald Gregg, Lloyd Gregg, Billy Durrance, Jayson Tucker, Caden Morales and Matt Durrance serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be David Shurm, Jerry Keller and Edward Huffstutler III. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Edward Neal Huffstutler went to be with the lord on May 23, 2023 at his residence.

 

Edward was born on February 12, 1934 in Oneonta, Alabama to Samuel Ethridge and Pearl (Kirkland) Huffstutler. Edward was a loving husband, father, and grandpa. He worked at Plymouth Citrus in Apopka, Florida for 33 years before moving to Texas in 1986. In 1992 he moved to the Sulphur Springs area, where he raised cattle. Edward worked for Wengo Feed Mill and Reed Scrap Metal where he retired from in 2016 at the young age of 82. He was a member if the Calvary Baptist Church in Sulphur Springs.

 

He is survived by his son, Raymond Huffstutler and wife, Connie; daughters, Debora Gregg, Janice Mahler, Josephine Reed, Janet Harper and husband, Gary; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-seven great grandchildren; sixteen great-great grandchildren; sister, Sarah Woodard.

 

Edward was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Huffstutler; mother, Pearl Kirkland Huffstutler; wife, Irene Mann Huffstutler and wife, Audrey Myers Huffstutler; sons, Carl Christian, and Edward Huffstutler Jr.; brothers, Harvey Huffstutler, Samuel Huffstutler, Pete Huffstutler, and sister, Porta Colbert.

 

Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
