On Friday, May 19, six new members were inducted in the Yantis High School Chapter of the National Beta Club.

These students were selected for membership based on their academic standing and character and join more than 500,000 members across the United States and beyond. National Beta Club is the largest independent, non-profit, educational youth group in the United States.

Its mission is to promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership among elementary and secondary school students.

The Yantis ISD club has been inducting students into the National Beta Club since 1961, and look forward to continuing this tradition for many years to come.

The following students inducted into the National Beta Club include (left to right) Juana Camacho, Lupe Camacho, Clifton Gamblin, Courtney Shelton, and Amanda Leon (not pictured Marisol Hernandez.)

National Beta School of Distinction is an honor for Beta clubs striving towards academic achievement, exemplary character, demonstrated leadership and service to others.
