Lady Eagles Ready For One-Game Regional Semifinal
  • PublishedMay 18, 2023

The No. 2 ranked Como-Pickton Lady Eagles have been all but unstoppable this season, amassing a record of 34-2 and making their way to the Regional Semifinal. Now, they will put their skills on display in a one-game set against No. 8 Groveton to see who will advance to the Regional Final.

The Lady Eagles enter the Regional Semifinals on a 23-game winning streak, dating all the way back to March 4 when they lost to Franklin, the No. 3 ranked team in 3A. In the postseason alone the Lady Eagles are 5-0 and have won their games by a combined score of 40-3.

Como-Pickton will be having their second one-game set of the postseason already, this time against a Groveton team who comes into the round with a record of 29-10-1. Groveton also has some momentum behind them, as they battled back and won two games against Beckville after losing the series opener.

The one-game Regional Semifinal is set for Friday at 6 p.m. at Whitehouse.
