Feeling Overstimulated?

Go for a walk! But not just any walk. Try to reconnect with your senses and nature around you. Now is the perfect time of year to get outside and move your body mindfully and nature makes it so easy to complete this walk.

Set aside 10ish minutes, and walk in an area that you are familiar with.

First, notice 5 things you see.
Then, list 4 things you hear (the birds, lawn mowers, water sprinklers, cars driving by, etc).
Next, think of 3 things you feel (the wind, the sun, the clothes on your body, etc).
Then, notice 2 things you smell (fresh cut grass, etc).
And lastly, one thing you taste.

This walk should both reconnect you to your body and calm your nervous system. Personally, I have found that it makes me more grateful for the beautiful nature around us that we are often too busy to recognize. I hope this helps you and I cannot wait to hear what you think!
