Graveside service with military honors for Miller Dee Morgan, age 80, of Winnsboro will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 6, 2023 at Restlawn Memorial Park with Dr. Joel Tiemeyer officiating. There is no formal visitation scheduled. Mr. Morgan passed away Friday, February 3, 2023 at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler.

 

Miller Dee Morgan was born July 9, 1942 in Sulphur Springs to Royce Neal Morgan and Virgie Ruth (Crump) Morgan. After graduating high school he served in the United States Marine Corps. He married Evelyn (Dohanos) Boggs on November 13, 1996 in Riverside, CA. Mr. Morgan retired as Supervisor at Wright’s Heat and Air and was of the Christian faith. One of his favorite pass-times was boating on the Colorado River in Arizona. After retiring to East Texas, his main hobby or “therapy” was raising and taking care of his cows.

 

Mr. Morgan is survived by his wife, Evelyn Morgan of Winnsboro; sons, Mike Boggs of Costa Mesa, CA and David Boggs of Pomona, CA.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Margaret; brothers, Bob, Arlon, Leroy, James, and Rayburn.

 

Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
