Howard Keith Leftwich (Poppie), age 67 of Caddo Lake passed away on January 21, 2023 at his residence.

Howard was born on November 30, 1955 in Houston, Texas to William Hugh and Jacqueline Shirley (Wagler) Leftwich. He married Jeannie Louise Stein on May 2, 1976 in Utica, Ohio. He served honorably in the United States Marine Corps for 20 years. After retiring from the military, Howard returned to his native Texas and worked for Southwest Airlines designing airline interiors. Tired of the the commute to Dallas, he decided to open his own auto and boat mechanic shop out of his Big Dreamer Ranch in Farmersville. After several visits to Caddo Lake, he and Jeannie decided to relocate and spend their golden years at the lake. It was there that he opened Big Dreamer Tour and Guide Service. Howard spent the last years of his life doing what he loved most; touring and fishing on Caddo Lake, working on motors of all kinds, and being a wonderful Poppie to his many grandchildren. He was a member of the VFW and NRA.

He is survived by his wife, Jeannie; daughters, Maggie Villarreal and husband, Javier, Amber Moore and husband, Jason; son, Howard Keith Leftwich II (Keith) and fiancé, Meredith Vasquez; grandchildren, Javi Villarreal, Alex Villarreal, Eva Villarreal, Katie Moore and fiancé, Preston Morgan, Meagan Moore, Cadence Leftwich, Kinsley Leftwich and Logan Leftwich; mother, Jackie Leftwich and brother, Cliff Leftwich.
