Funeral service for Ermine Moreau-Sipiere, age 87 of Como, Texas will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at St James Catholic Church in Sulphur Springs with Jerry Vesze officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. There will be no formal visitation. Mrs. Moreau-Sipiere passed away on January 10, 2023 in Cypress, Texas.

 

Ermine was born on March 24, 1935 to Louis and Suzanne (Bownaud) Sipiere in Paris, France. She married Jacques Moreau on December 3, 1956. Ermine and Jacques started a world-renowned Arabian Horse Breeding stable in France. They moved to the USA during the late 1970’s and continued what would become their legacy. Ermine was also the president of the American Sloughi Association and a board member of various international horse associations. Ermine and Jacques, along with their late daughter Florence, also bred and showed Sloughi dogs. She loved all her cats, dogs, birds and horses. Ermine also wrote suspense novels in both French and English.

 

She is survived by her children, Xavier Moreau, Eric Moreau-Sipiere and wife, Randi, Sylvie Collier; grandchildren, Stephanie Moreau-Sipiere, Jason Moreau, Natalie Siers and husband, Shane Siers, Kristin Moreau, Jessica Collier and fiancé, Jeremy Gresham, Vanessa Moreau-Sipiere and fiancé, Quinton Head; great grandchildren, Colt Moreau, Barrett Moreau and Romain Siers; Siblings, Regis Sipiere and wife, Francoise, Dominique Sipiere and Marie Charlotte Acket.

 

Ermine was preceded in death by her parents, her daughters Florence and Aline, and her husband of 63 years, Jacques.
