Commissioners recognize Miller Grove & Saltillo cross country

During the public comment portion of the December 12 commissioners court, commissioners and Judge Robert Newsom welcomed both Saltillo ISD and Miller Grove ISD high school cross country teams. 

The court recognized them for their state-winning fall 2022 season and their contributions to the sport of distance running. 

Saltillo ISD placed first in cross country, and has placed within the top three for the past eight years. Miller Grove ISD placed second in state. They have placed first in state cross country for the fifth consecutive years previous. 

The court “appealed to all citizens of Hopkins County” to congratulate the teams on their victories.
