Kiwanis and Lions build access ramp for citizens despite weather

Kiwanis and Lions build access ramp for citizens despite weather
  • PublishedNovember 1, 2022

Kiwanis members came together today, after a rain delay, to build a ramp for a local Sulphur Springs community member.

The resident is very excited to receive her ramp and knows it will make her life much more functional and enjoyable.

With the help of the local Lions club who prepared the 4×4 and 8×4 sections to make the installation go smoother, the ramp was completed in a few hours.  The Kiwanis want to thank the Texas Ramp Project for the donation of the lumber in order to make this ramp possible.  You can find out more information about the project by visiting their website at www.texasramps.org

All ramp requests must be made through a third party who can attest to the need of the ramp for the resident.  Please send all requests to the ramp project via their website.

The Kiwanis Club and Lions Club hope to continue to work together to help more people gain access to a freedom of movement with this project.
