Graveside service for Theresa Howk Pennington, age 64 of Sulphur Springs, Texas will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mrs. Pennington passed away on October 18, 2022 at Christus Mother Frances -Sulphur Springs.
Theresa was born on March 14, 1958 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Carvil and Mildred (Brown) Howk. She married Ricky Wyly, who preceded her in death, and they had two sons together, Ricky Wyly II and Brian Wyly of Sulphur Springs, Texas. She later married Frank Pennington in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Theresa worked as a seamstress for H.D. Lee. Although Theresa couldn’t attend church, she was very religious and a follower of Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her son, Ricky Wyly II, Brian Wyly and Rosemary; grandchildren, Ricky Wyly III, Alexa Wyly, Joshua Wyly, Jaci Wyly and Stella Wyly; great grandchild, Kyler Lane Wyly; sisters, Patsy Brown and husband, Ken, Mary Denny and husband, Ron; brother, David Howk, all of Sulphur Springs.
Theresa was preceded in death by both husbands; her parents and a brother.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or local animal Shelter.
