Memorial service for Don Culpepper, age 74 of Sulphur Springs, Texas will be held at 10:00A.M. on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. There will be no formal visitation. Mr. Culpepper passed away on September 3, 2022 at his residence.

Don was born in Sulphur Springs on June 19, 1948 to the late D.Y. and Orene Welch Culpepper.

Don served honorably in the U.S. Army and continued his service to his country at the U.S. Postal Service. Don is said to have loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved to take them on vacations and play pranks on them. He would show up to baseball games that were too far away and just loved to be with them. When he wasn’t with his family, you could either find him on the golf range or playing cards.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Marilyn Culpepper; son, Jason Culpepper and wife Christy; daughter, Colleen Griffin and husband Jody; sister, Shirley Hogan; grandchildren, Hunter Culpepper, Holdan Culpepper and fiancé Karly, Gage Griffin and wife Samantha, Grant Griffin, Katie Griffin; great-grandchildren, Rylee, Saige, Sadie; nephew, Daniel Hogan; and golfing buddies, Tom and Paula Adamson.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the: Heart Association or the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
