Funeral services for Bobby Joe Hall, age 81, of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 3, 2022, at Morning Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. V. B. Lockhart officiating. Interment will follow at East Caney Cemetery with Quinston Brooks, Kenneth Cork, Bryan Vaughn, Rodney Hall, Alan Hall, Lester Henley, Byron Nelson, and Patrick Hall serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews, great-nephews, and sons-in-law. Visitation will be at West Oaks Funeral Home, Friday, September 2, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Bobby passed away August 30, 2022. He was born on April 26, 1941, the fifth child to Arthur “Tet” Hall and Mattie Mae Wilkerson Hall. He attended school in Mount Sterling School in the East Caney community. Bob united with East Caney Baptist Church at an early age. During his lifetime, Bob was committed to family, friends, community, and church. He was gifted as a mechanic, and worked at Grocery Supply, and helped many people in his community.

Bobby was blessed to be a part of five generations of children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Up until the accident that claimed his eyesight, Bob enjoyed hunting and working with his hands as an auto mechanic. For relaxation he enjoyed listening to the blues.

Bobby is survived by sons, Larry Porter of Mesquite, and Joe Hall of Lubbuck, and daughters, Sandra Jo Cork and husband Kenneth, Sonia Nelson and husband Byron, and KaTina Harris, all of Lubbock, as well as bonus children, Mary Pruitt, and Janeth Nickerson. His grandchildren, Christopher, Kenya, Joshua, Brandon, Tashiyanna, Kristopher O’Brien, Braxton, Christian, Hannah, Amiya, Wanda LaShun, Kenneth, Alexandria, Bre’Nae, Jeremiah, Bre’Ane, and Darrion. His great-grandchildren, Ka’Deshia, Quinston, Deja, Anthony, Korderrion, Kordrick, and Lykyron, and his great-great-grandchildren, DJ, Marley, Elijah, Enyla, Ari, Daegan, Aubreigh, Kaedyn, Kaiden, Kaliyha, Kamile, and Kamdyn Way. He is also survived by his sisters Helen Wright, Margie Williams, and Patricia Vaughn, and his brother-in-law, Benard Vaughn. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur “Tet” and Mattie Hall, his wife, Bobbie McMillian Thompson Hall, wife, Martha Epps Hall, wife, Carol Ann Lindley Hall, his brothers, Billy J, Lee Arthur, Fred, Richard, and Travis, and sisters, Lena Hall, Evelyn Harris, Virginia Porter, and Annie Johnson, his granddaughter, Sharon Shavonne, and great-granddaughter, Jasmine.
