Obituary for Lana “Tweety” Duncan

Funeral service for Lana Duncan, age 75 of Point, TX will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, August 22, 2022 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with Terry Duncan, Jay Duncan, Tony Pullen, Terry Pullen, Kristorpher Duncan and Jr. Duncan serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 600 P.M. on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Mrs. Duncan passed away on August 15, 2022 at Medical City – Plano.

Lana was born on May 9, 1947 in Sulphur Springs, TX to Buck and Daisy (Vernon) Morrison. She married Dennis Duncan on December 2, 1957 in Rockwall, TX. Lana worked as a mail processor at an insurance company. She was a woman of the Christian faith. Lana spent her life caring for others and always on the go. No matter where she went, she left with a friend. Lana loved going to the dances with her friends and she wasn’t afraid to hit the dance floor. Lana was Gene Watson’s biggest fan. She loved to attend all of his shows. Lana had lots of favorites, but the two things that had a special place in her heart were Gene Watson and Tweety Bird. She often went by tweet to her girlfriends, whom she loved dancing with.

She is survived by her sons, Dennis Eugene Duncan Jr., Kristopher Duncan and wife, Megan and Terry Duncan; grandchildren, Jana, Amanda, Jay, Terry, Aubrey, Kristorpher and Lincoln; great grandchildren, Aiden, Scarlett, Nickolas, Corbyn and Connor; brother, Gary Morrison.

Lana was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dennis; sister, Rita Morrison and brother, Larry Morrison.
