Funeral service for Johnny Bourland, age 74 of Sulphur Springs, TX will be held at 10:00A.M. on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Robert Newsom officiating. Interment will follow at North Hopkins Cemetery. Visitation will be held one-hour prior to Funeral service. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Dorner, Joey Dorner, Justin Goldsmith, Jaden Goldsmith, Terry Russell and Juan. Mr. Bourland passed away on May 6, 2022 at Christus Mother Frances – Tyler.
Johnny Bourland was born on November 27, 1947 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Lloyd Bourland and Norma-Jean “Jeanie” Johnson. He married Teresa on July 3, 1981. Mr. Bourland proudly served in the United States Air Force. Following his time in the service, he started a courier service and in retirement he worked at Adkisson’s Florist in Greenville, TX.
Johnny is survived by son, John Bourland; daughters, Michelle Russell, Pamela Bourland, Teri Ashendorf; grandchildren, Ryan Bourland, Rachel Bourland, Courtney Russell, Austin Russell, Elena Mataele, Finnian Stovall, Kaiya Bourland; sister, Barbara Dorner and brother Jimmy Bourland.
Mr. Bourland was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa and his parents.
