Obituary for Blanch Petty

A service for Blanch Nell Petty, age 79, will be held at Morning Chapel on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at the St. Luke Cemetery. A come and go visitation will be on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 9:00AM until 4:00PM.  Officiating will be Rev. Harold B. Nash, Sr.  Mrs. Petty passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at her home in Sulphur Springs, TX.     

She was born the daughter of Cleitus Wills and Dorothy Ury in Sulphur Springs, TX on December 20, 1942.  Blanch married Ralph Petty on December 11, 1957.  He preceded her in death.  Mrs. Petty was a homemaker and was a member of the Morning Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.   

Survivors include: sons: Randle Wright of Conroe, TX, Daryle Petty (Demetric) of Sulphur Springs, TX, Ralph Petty Jr. of Houston, TX and Rodney Petty of Sulphur Springs, TX; grandchildren: Darron Thomas (Rachel) of Mesquite, TX and Danielle Petty of Sulphur Springs, TX; great grandchildren: Telluah Bozeman, Christan Clark, Shawn Thomas, Reece Ellis and Isaiah Thomas; brothers: Granvall Lee and Lydell Lee both from Denver, CO. and Danny Ray Lee of Sulphur Springs, TX; sisters: Melvina Goodson of Sulphur Springs, TX and Maedee Lee of California.  

She was preceded in death by her father: Cleitus Wills; husband: Ralph Petty; granddaughter: Robin Williams; three sisters.
