Obituary for Elvira Margie Byers

A Celebration of Life for Elvira M. Byers, known to all as Margie or Grandma, age 91, will be held at a later date. Ms. Byers passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at her home in Athens, TX.
She was born the daughter of Sequiel Edwin Moynier and Eleanor M. Machado Moynier in Santa Monica, CA. on October 7, 1930. Margie worked for Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company before she retired. She was a woman of faith.
Survivors include: daughters: Carol West and husband Don of Ferris, TX and Judy Miller of Eustace, TX.; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great, great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Sequiel and Eleanor Moynier; husband: Bennie Byers; twin daughters: Jane Alfaro and Joan Barnes.
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made to St.Judes, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TX 38105.
